For those of you wondering, J and I ARE still engaged and getting married in October. I realize I haven't talked about anything "wedding" in awhile. My apologies! We just don't have much "wedding" stuff to do now that we are doing the whole Jamaica thing. Our wedding consultant at the resort said we'll start planning everything 60 days out. As stressed out as that made me, to hear that we wouldn't start planning the details until 60 days out!, I've come to realize that they plan weddings every day and 60 days is enough time for them to get everything in order. Seems like such little time though, doesn't it? I'm pretty sure our consultant thinks I'm a complete whack job. I called her like 10 times a day the first week that we started working together with every question you can think of regarding a destination wedding. Anyway . . . we'll start picking food, flowers, cake, music, etc. around August 5 and you'll hear about all the details as they happen. Rest assured . . . we are still engaged!

Guess where I'm going?

Today, the coliseum released additional tickets for the Taylor Swift concert which is this Thursday and I was actually able to get some this time around. WOO-HOO! My youngest sister is going with me and is just going to be thrilled, I'm sure! They aren't the best seats, but hey . . . I'll take what I can get at this point. And we can always be rebels and move to lower seats once the concert starts. Today is a good day!

This weekend was a blast for us! It was another three-day weekend but went by way too fast. Today I am wishing I was still sitting on the beach with a drink in my hand!

Thursday, we headed out to Isle of Palms after work to stay at the beach for the weekend in celebration of our friend Morgan's 30th birthday! When all the surprises were over, there were a grand total of 20 of us staying partying at the beach house. The weekend was full of surprises for Morgan and everyone had an absolute blast!

Here are just a few pictures from our fun weekend!

Thank you to Morgan's husband, Andy for putting this whole surprise weekend together and inviting us to be apart of it all. Job well done!

Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

I love this day. Not just because I happen to be an administrative professional myself, but because I think it is wonderful that a day is set aside to honor the employees whose work often goes unnoticed, even if it is just another "Hallmark holiday."

Although I honestly expected nothing from my bosses today, especially with the economy the way it is, they surprised with me ONCE AGAIN with a fantastic gift! My bosses always know how to make me feel oh-so-special and like they need me.

Not only did my bosses give me a fantastic surprise, but my law firm treated all staff members with a 15-minute chair massage and lunch from Jim 'N Nicks! How awesome is that?

Oh how I am loving my job today!

Thank you to all the other administrative professionals out there. Hope y'all have a wonderful day!

What the . . .

How do you not have water pressure in your office building? Evidently, something happened in the area which caused our entire building to lose all water pressure since oh . . . let's say about 1pm . . . yep, since right after lunch! This means no flushing toilets, no washing hands, etc. How can it be? The ladies room is starting to resemble a port-a-potty at a NASCAR race. It's a nightmare! Someone needs to jump on getting this fixed . . . and quickly!

You get the best of both worlds . . .

I'm sad to be back at work today. It's never fun coming back to work after a fun, three-day weekend.

As you know, I left on Thursday after work and headed to Fayetteville, NC to see my BFF and her family. I had such a fun time while I was there! I took their family photos and Kaelyn's 1st birthday photos on Friday. Then, later that evening, Amanda, David and I ate dinner at Outback Steakhouse and then me and Amanda went and saw Hannah Montana: The Movie. My idea, not hers! She thought I was a little crazy when I first suggested it, but we were glad we went and saw it afterward. It was so cute and we both loved it! We even went to Wal-Mart afterward to pick up some things and I bought the soundtrack! I'm crazy, I know! I'm just a big kid at heart. Thank you to Amanda and David for having me this weekend for a few days. I had so much fun and can't wait to see y'all again in a few weekends to celebrate Kaelyn's 1st birthday!

J is coaching his nephew's baseball team for the second season and their first game was this past Saturday, so I headed back to SC bright and early on Saturday morning to commence my "Team Mom" duties. HA!!! It was a beautiful day and all of the children did fantastic and seemed to have a great time. After the game, J and I had lunch with his family before I had to head off to a photo shoot at 2pm.

After my 2pm photo shoot, I had a birthday party to shoot at 4pm. It was such a fun birthday party and I was glad to be there to capture all the memories for them. I love that part of job—my photography job, that is. I love that I get to capture memories that they would not normally be able to capture. I love when my clients love their photos. It makes my day.

When I got home, J had the neighborhood guys over to watch the UFC fight. I left them in the living room to perform UFC moves on each other while I changed into my cozy PJs and crawled into bed. It was a busy Saturday to say the least but a fun one nonetheless.

On Sunday, J and I had no "appointments" a/k/a prior commitments and we were able to do some stuff around the house and yard for once in a very long time. I put a sealant on the picnic table Mamaw gave us for Christmas so it wouldn't become weathered and J did lots of yard work. Last night, we went to J's parents' house for a yummy dinner made by my future MIL. She made country fried steak, fried squash, and mashed potatoes . . . and sweet tea to top it all off! It was delicious and was such a fun family night! Thank you, Ms. Nancy, for making such a yummy dinner for all of us! We can't wait to do it again!

It was a busy, but fun weekend for us! With the weather getting nicer and nicer, I can't wait for our pool to be ready so I can start sun tanning and we can start having pool parties. That's next on our to-do list!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Movie Night!

Guess what my BFF and I are going to see tonight? Hannah Montana: The Movie!!! I think Amanda thought I was crazy when I suggested it, but I really want to see it . . . so she agreed to go with me! It's a big girl movie right? HA!!! I'm so excited! I'll let you know how it is later. Hope you're having a great weekend!

what is better than having time off work? Checking your online banking and seeing that you have more moolah than expected because your tax refund was just deposited! That can definitely make for a grrrrrrrrreat day!

Road Trip!

As I've said before . . . what could possibly be better than a day off work (besides an entire week off work)? I am leaving town tomorrow after work and heading to Fort Bragg, NC to visit my BFF, her hubs and their two children. I am SO excited to see all of them! I feel like it's been an eternity . . . but it's really only been a month or so! It's a very short trip . . . I'm leaving tomorrow and coming back on Saturday. The reason for the trip? I am shooting their family photos before Kaelyn's first birthday! And I'll take any excuse I can get to take a trip up there to see them. So, until next time, I leave you with some pictures of me and my BFF . . .

Our weekend

This past weekend was busy, as always, but fun! I was able to leave work early on Friday and headed to Summerville to the Flowertown Festival with my mom, grandma, sister, and cousins. The Flowertown Festival is a festival that comes to Summerville every April—the same weekend as the Cooper River Bridge Run—where more than 200 artists and crafters from all over the country display their works for your appreciation and purchase. Each day during the 3-day event brings you live entertainment, a Children's Jubilee, and a tennis tournament to enjoy. Additionally, fabulous festival foods are prepared to tempt your taste buds and to give you a "taste" of Summerville and the Lowcountry area of South Carolina.

As you can see, thousands of people come out to enjoy the Festival. It's actually quite fun and something I have been going to for as long as I can remember.

Saturday was my cousin Gracie's birthday party, so after my morning shoot, we headed to the skating rink to celebrate with her and attend her birthday party.

Gracie and her classmates

My friend, Tiffany was in town so she and her son, Connor came to the birthday party too!

Thanks, J -- these are actually decent pictures! = )

Saturday night, my aunt and uncle had a cookout with friends and family before his surgery (which was yesterday). It was a fun night!

My uncle's surgery went well yesterday. Thank you all for your prayers. Now let's just hope for a smooth recovery.

Sunday evening, we ate dinner at my parents' house. Mom found this recipe on Kelly's Recipe Blog and wanted to try it, so we headed to Wal-Mart and got everything we needed. When we got back to the house, my mom and I made the enchiladas. They were absolutely delicious! If you like enchiladas, and even if you don't, you should try this recipe! It's too good to pass up!

Here are some pictures of our yummy dinner!

pre-oven . . .

post-oven . . . and ready to be eaten!

And last but not least, I forgot to show you what was nearby during my shoot a few weekends ago . . . I think he wanted to be in some of the pictures!

Prayer Request

My uncle is having surgery this morning and we could all use your prayers right now, so I ask that you please take a minute and pray . . . pray for my uncle and that his surgery goes well, pray for my aunt to stay strong, pray for their children, pray that everything goes as planned or better. If I have learned anything from blogging, it is the power of prayer and what prayers can really do. Thank you!

I would like to thank The Academy

When I first had this crazy idea of starting my own blog, I had no idea what the heck I would blog about and who the heck (besides my mom and my MIL, of course) would read it, so naturally, I am so flattered to see and hear of how many people love me read my blog and find our life (okay, let's be honest, our wedding plans) interesting. But seriously, I am so touched by all you co-bloggers and cannot believe I have as many blog friends as I do. Many thanks to all who read my blog.

I recently received two blog awards from two of my favorite blogs so without further ado . . .

I would like to thank The Academy The Luckiest Mrs. for this Sisterhood Award!

And I would like to thank Quite Contrary for this Sexy Blogger Award!

I am supposed to list five things I think are sexy about myself . . . and since I really don't find anything about myself sexy, here goes nothing . . .

1. My great personality
2. My hot body
3. My amazing cooking skills
4. My beautiful, dark hair (without gray hairs)
5. My awesome sense of humor

Now . . . how's that for being conceded? Hope it gave all of you a good laugh!

Carolina Cup, Part 2

Sorry for the delay. Here's the rest of the picture from our fun-filled day!

Me & Morgan - please ignore my nasty, rainy hair!

Random girls with a weirdo following them!

Cheers!

Whoa, it's really coming down!

Nice pants dude!

The Pulaskis

This picture cracks me up!

Andy says "Honey, look! We're in the lead!"

Looks like something intense just happened . . .

But Beth is happy!

And so is Kathleen!

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby carriage . . .

We have big news to share with all of you . . .

IT'S APRIL! APRIL FOOL'S! Got ya! HA!!! Spring is now in full swing, and the April showers are here! YUCK!

Sorry I haven't posted Part 2 of the Carolina Cup yet. I have had 3 shoots within the last 3 days and I have over 600 images I need to go through and edit right now. I'm just a little overwhelmed. Not sure how I'm going to get it all done before my next shoot on Saturday, but I know I will . . . somehow, someway. Happy April Fool's Day, everyone!
